Jenny Ireland Animal Compliance

Animal Compliance SA is a service offered by Jenny Ireland and staff to assist councils in the area of dog and cat animal management.

The service available ranges from:

  • Relief Animal Management Officers
  • Complete every household door knock
  • Door knocks as needed by council
  • Pilot program to gauge viability
  • Follow up on lapsed registrations

Animal Compliance SA has conducted dog and cat registration door knocks for Local and Regional Councils for the past five years.

WHS, JSA and a flowchart relevant to door knock procedures has been established.

A fully monitored Man Down Safety Card is utilised.

Some of the projects undertaken in 2014/15  are:

  • 2014/15 Relief Inspector over the two week Christmas-New Year break for Town of Gawler, Light and Barossa Councils.
  • 2014/15 Three month contract for the City of Playford adding approx 2000 dogs to the register
  • 2015 Four month door knock contract with City of Burnside, issuing expiations, entering data gained, follow up on unregistered dogs.
  • 2015 Port Augusta City Council conducted a three week door knock program adding approx 500 dogs to their register.
  • 2015 City of Mitcham specified area door knock for dogs and cats adding approx 120 dogs and 130 cats over a two week assignment.
  • 2015 Mallala Regional Council follow up dog registrations.

The team members are currently all women and are well versed in maintaining a high level of professionalism.

In conducting the door knock,  our aim is to be as least invasive as possible while still elicting the information from householders as required by council.
